Trying to run Fontographer 4.1 on an XP PC with 2GB RAM. I am getting the
message 'Could initilize the program because there is not enough memory
available to run.' 'Code -30202'. Has anyone else had the same problem. I
have also tried it on three identical 2GB RAM PC's with the same result. Then I
installed it on a standard XP desktop with 256MB RAM and it worked OK. Is this
a known problem, and is there a fix for it.

I just downloaded Fontographer to my new computer and am getting the same message.

There's a technote or two on Macromedia's website about this issue -- or
you could try Googling this newsgroup, where I believe it's come up
several times before. As you may have surmised, the problem is that FG
is so old that it can't imagine a system having as much RAM as is
typical for modern setups, so it gets very confused.
